I did this painting with my daughter during the whole debt ceiling debate/wars. I saw immediately the political significance of this piece. As individuals we all have viewpoints on every issue imaginable, we are
either “for something” or “against it”.
Many people are very black and white, like night and day on hot issues regarding life, love, religion or politics.
The dividing line can be clear as day or hazy as the night but even with that idea, there are always bits and pieces from the other side that we adopt, believe in or subscribe to even if we are unwilling to admit this.
About the Artist
I hope you will see that the art I create is a lot like life, there is happiness, joy, sadness, ups and downs, just like life. You will find a wide range of subject matters within my art from figurative work to abstract.
I strive to create work that tells a story or has a central theme that focuses on social issues and all that encompasses. I like to create art that gives the viewer something they can relate to in their own world in such a way that offers reflection, hope and promise.
